About Us
Who Is Harvest Prayer Ministries?
Harvest Prayer Ministries exists to equip the local church to become a House of Prayer for all nations, releasing God’s power for revival and finishing the task of world evangelization.
What does this mean in practical terms? We want to see every church become a praying church (…”a house of prayer for all nations…”, Isaiah 56:7, Matthew 21:13, Mark 11:17, Luke 19:46). In this process, we minister to leaders, leadership teams, individuals, couples and families so that a deep love relationship with the Father is ignited and God’s kingdom purposes are accomplished. The end goal of a praying church is to see revival and the finishing of the task of world evangelization. In order for this to happen, prayer must become the foundational Spirit-led strategy for kingdom life and activity in and through the church.

Our cooperation and partnership with America’s National Prayer Committee, the National Day of Prayer, the Global Day of Prayer, OneCry, the International Prayer Council and the Denominational Prayer Leaders Network form bonds with Christians worldwide.
Our Founders
David and Kim Butts
Harvest Prayer Ministries was founded in 1993 by David and Kim Butts. A longtime pastor, Dave and his wife, Kim, felt the call into full-time prayer ministry, particularly focused on teaching churches and individuals to pray more effectively for missions.
What they soon found was that people and churches needed more basic teaching on prayer before this could happen.

Over time, they have developed a unique way to engage churches in becoming what God has called us to be: “…my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations” (Isaiah 56:7). Jesus emphasized this desire of the Father’s heart in Mark 11:17. Roadmap to a Praying Church is focused upon this clear mandate. Prayer is intimacy with God as well as His foundational strategy to accomplish His kingdom purposes on earth as it is in heaven.

Harvest does not rent our email lists to other organizations. On rare occasions we will use our lists to inform our friends of prayer events or initiatives of national or international importance, and occasionally we will use our lists to inform our friends of a financial need in the ministry.
